The EMPLCC Committee is extremely pleased to announce the appointment of Wayne Myers as Head Coach.
Wayne has an extensive coaching CV spanning over two decades in Australia and South Africa. His most recent senior role, at Kew Cricket Club in the Victorian Sub District competition, culminated in 1st, 3rd, 4th and Sunday team premierships as well as a Club Championship.
His roles in South Africa included coaching state representative sides for Western Province, based at Newlands in Cape Town.
His energy, experience and values will drive high standards at EMP and we are excited for the impact he can have on our senior cricket program.
Speaking on his appointment Wayne said, “I'm excited and honoured to be joining Essendon Maribyrnong Park Ladies Cricket Club, a Champion Club. I look forward to fostering ongoing relationships both on and off field through my coaching and mentoring. My coaching philosophies include empowering players to maximise their potential and allowing them to express and execute their skills under pressure”.
The club will now work to finalise the remainder of our coaching structure and provide an announcement once confirmed.
In the meantime, welcome to the Bomber Family Wayne, his wife Lisa, daughter Ayla and son Jay!
